Gary first became a certified ASMF Sports Conditioner in
1983. In 1985 commenced his Professional Golf Association Apprenticeship,
becoming a Full P.G.A. Australia Member in 1987. Upon completion of his P.G.A
Apprenticeship Gary has focused on the performance aspects of golf, primarily
in the areas of teaching and equipment technology. Gary is currently the Head
Golf Instructor for the United States Golf Fitness Association and the Golf and
Fitness Director for the Hilton Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort. Previous to
these positions Gary was R & D / Custom Club Manager for the Golf Club
Division of Spalding Sports Worldwide. Responsibilities included component,
material and competitive analysis through human and robotic testing. As well
facilitating the custom fitting of the Hogan, Topflite and Spalding equipment
lines to the P.G.A Tour and Advisory Staff and teaching the "Custom Fitting
Certification" course for the P.G.A.
Gary has conducted clinics and seminars for numerous
International Professional Golf Associations and organizations including major
corporations such as Nippon Industries Japan, Mercedes Benz Germany as well as
Conrad Jupiter and Hilton Hotels and Resorts. As the Head Golf Instructor for
the USGFA, Gary works with therapists, trainers, and coaches whose athletes
goals vary from seniors looking to prolong their sporting participation to
Professionals and World Champions competing and winning at the highest level.
Gary's teaching philosophy is that sport specific
conditioning and functional athletic development skills, combined with correct
swing mechanics and equipment fitted to the individuals body type is essential
for all golfers to perform at their best. |
